Sailing Live Streaming For Asian Games 2023: How to Watch Sailing Coverage on TV And Online

India will be participating in 11 sailing events at the Asian Games 2023 in China. A fleet of 16 sailors will be participating in the event. The sailing events are set to start on September 21 in Ningbo, China. Expectations are quite high with the inclusion of three Asiad medal-winning sailors making the squad. It was Varsha Gautham and Sweta Sherbegar who clinched silver at the Jakarta Asian Games back in 2018. They were runners-up in the 49er FX women’s event. India’s second medal was claimed by Harishta Tomar who won bronze in the Open Laser 4.7 event. India’s sailing super-duo of KC Ganapathy and Varun Thakkar are expected to finish at the podium with high chances of bagging either a silver or a gold. They had won bronze in the 49er men’s event in Jakarta.

The duo earned laurels in the previous four editions of the Asian Championships. They won three gold medals in 2018, 2019 and 2022. They also recorded a second-place finish in 2019. They did not have a sky-high showing at the Tokyo Olympics as they took the 17th position. Though, they are likely to face fierce competition from the previous edition’s gold medallists Shingen Furuya and Shinji Hachiyama representing Japan.
