The Billionaire acquires social network for forty-four billion dollars
Elon musk has purchased Twitter for 44 billion dollars.
Before the finalization of the current deal, there was an earlier deal that was proposed which Elon Musk terminated back in April earlier this year.
Due to this, Twitter filed a lawsuit against the billionaire in July but resolutions were reached after arbitration, and Musk agreed to buy a portion that amounts to 44 billion dollars.
Musk explains his reason for buying the social network company was to maintain a common digital space for the future of civilization.
He also added that the primary media has commercialized the internet to the extent that the chance of communication is lost and highlights this to be the main reason he bought Twitter not to make more money.
Elon Musk is the CEO of Space X and Tesla and he is worth over 200 billion dollars making him the richest man on the planet.
